BOTOX® Cosmetic
Annual reports show that BOTOX® Cosmetic is the most widely performed cosmetic procedure in the country each year. The reason is simple: It works—and works amazingly well. The popular injectable neuromodulator temporarily inhibits facial muscle contractions that create and worsen dynamic "moving" wrinkles: horizontal forehead lines, frown lines ("11s"), and crow's feet.
Dermal Fillers
Deeper wrinkles and creases develop as we age due to facial volume loss, which can also cause your contours to change. Dermal fillers, such as Juvéderm® and other hyaluronic acid-based products, add volume back in areas where collagen and fat depletion have caused sagging, creases, and other signs of aging to appear.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
Intense pulsed light targets discoloration issues, including discrete brown sun spots, melasma patches on the nose and cheeks, and general facial redness due to sun damage. The Nelson Dermatology team utilizes an especially powerful IPL device known as Lumecca that reduces the traditional need for many treatment appointments down into a single session to achieve results.
Photodynamic Therapy
Our dermatologists use Blu-U photodynamic therapy to treat precancerous skin lesions known as actinic keratoses. Photodynamic therapy helps to remove these lesions, reducing the likelihood of them developing into squamous cell carcinoma skin cancer. Photodynamic therapy and blue light can also be used to treat acne and reduce flare-ups.
Fractora Skin Resurfacing
Fractora skin resurfacing involves tiny, radiofrequency-emitting needles that ablate or remove a small fraction of the skin's surface. This removal of the epidermis and dermis triggers a natural wound-healing reaction, leading to tightening of existing collagen as well as new collagen formation. The result is remodeling of the skin surface, improvement of deep wrinkles, and overall rejuvenation.
VBeam® Laser Vascular Treatment
The laser light in a VBeam® treatment is ideal for targeting small blood vessels by heating the hemoglobin inside them. This heating of the blood inside vessels causes them to remodel and disappear. Heating spider veins and vascular lesions causes them to fade for a clearer complexion.
BodyFX
Radiofrequency-powered fat reduction with BodyFX can accomplish what diet and exercise can't: spot reduction of persistent areas. The energy delivered by the nonsurgical device disrupts targeted fat cells for slimmer contours on the belly, hips, flanks, and elsewhere.
Forma Skin Tightening
Radiofrequency energy can also contour the body by addressing skin laxity. Specifically, Forma skin tightening is ideal for controlled heating of the skin, tightening and remodeling the underlying collagen. This collagen rejuvenation reduces sagging on the face, neck, and elsewhere on the body.
